Wakefern Food Corp. has made its Electronic Benefits Transfer Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (EBT SNAP) available as an accepted payment method for orders placed through Instacart from ShopRite, Fairway Market, Gourmet Garage and The Fresh Grocer stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland. Additionally, the co-op’s online shopping service, which is available on its banner brands’ websites, accepts EBT SNAP payments.

The shipping giant purchased ShopRunner, which directly connects consumers with more than 100 retailers and brands, in December 2020. The new ShopRunner app is designed to simplify online shopping. With a single mobile entryway, each user’s feed can be optimized through their browsing and purchase history to help them discover relevant new brands and connect with established favorite retailers.

Amazon is delivering U.S. online purchases with more than 1,000 electric vehicles. The e-tail giant has reached a goal it set in July 2022 to deploy electric vans it designed and built in partnership with manufacturer Rivian to deliver packages in U.S. cities. Overstock.com is piloting a new returns program with UPS that will allow Overstock customers to schedule doorstep pickup for returns of unwanted items with no re-boxing required. The partnership will give both Overstock and UPS the “opportunity to better understand customer preferences” and “serve up options that align with their day-to-day lives,” said Overstock.com CEO Jonathan Johnson during the company’s Q3 earnings call on Oct 27, 2022.
